Overview
An introductory course providing BA students with hands-on experience of the software tools used in professional translation workflows. Students learn to operate computer-assisted translation (CAT) environments, manage translation memories and termbases, and understand how technology shapes the modern translation profession.
The course also introduces students to the broader ecosystem of translation technology: localization formats, quality assurance tools, and the emerging role of machine translation post-editing in professional practice.

- Translation memory: creation, management, and leveraging

Assessment
Practical lab assignments completed in CAT software (50%), a project file submission (30%), and a written reflection on technology-mediated translation (20%).
