About me
I am an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of Łódź, Poland, affiliated with the Department of Translation Studies and Language Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philology. My work spans professional translation, translation training, and academic research — with a particular focus on computer-assisted and machine translation.
I completed my PhD on translator training in a computer-assisted translation environment, and since 2017 I have been a Phrase (formerly Memsource) Certified Trainer. I am especially interested in the practical application of computer technology in translation — from CAT tools and translation memory management to AI-assisted workflows and post-editing.
Within the Faculty, I serve as Dean's Representative for the Master's Programme in Translation Studies and as Supervisor of professional internships in Translation Studies.
Alongside my academic work, I am a part-time web developer, desktop-publishing specialist, and photographer. Outside the office, I enjoy cycling and gardening.
